Reece Barr will make his Porsche race debut as part of the Porsche Young Driver Talent Pool at the 2019 opening media meeting on the 9th and 10th April at the Autodrom Most Czech Republic.
The rookie driver with join experienced Porsche Cup racers Jaap van Lagen and Gustav Malja for the three car line-up at Forch racing which is spearheaded by Robert Lukas and Sigi Muller both very experienced Porsche competitors.
Speaking about his move to Porsche at Silverstone last week, Reece said; “I feel confident that we have the right ‘make-up’ this year with Forch Racing and the championship’s approach with young drivers. I’m also really looking forward to working with my new coaching and development team which I’m happy to confirm will include Ben Barker and Matt Beers (Position One) and Emiliano Ventura and Duarte Félix da Costa (Motor Sport Institute). It is also great to have the continued support from Investex Capital, OSS Recruitment, Red Chilli Bikes and Klean Athlete; and fantastic to news to welcome Zing Facilities Management and Oakley Sunglasses for our 2019 campaign.
Barr has certainly aligned himself with some key advisers for his 20
19 campaign and is certainly taking a very committed approach to his opportunity with Porsche. The makeup of the Force Racing team and driver lineup will suit Reece as he settles into a multi-year programme as part of the Official Porsche Talent Pool and back with his winning race number 88.
