Reece Barr made his car racing debut with ExcelR8 Motorsport at the last round of the 2016 Mini Challenge season, as the young racer steps up to car racing in Britain. The 16 year-old from Donegal now based in Silverstone Village started his race year with ExcelR8 Motorsport as he prepares for full championship competition in 2017.
Reece continues his competitive campaign to close the season as 2017 Vice-champion while also securing the Rookie and Retailers Cups. The decision to run with the ExcleR8 team has really worked out really and Reece would like to specifically thank his team manager Daniel, mechanics Matt and Conor. The Mini Challenge was certainly the right choice for Reece’s debut year and now big decision lay ahead for the 2018 and 2019 campaigns.
